The bar at The Ship Inn is the heart of island life, known for its warm atmosphere and outstanding selection of drinks. Guests can enjoy CAMRA-approved cask ales, including the much-loved Holy Island Bitter, alongside brews from award-winning North East microbreweries. Our in-house distillery produces the famous Holy Island Gin, complemented by a fine range of whiskies, wines, and spirits from around the world. In summer, drinks are best enjoyed in the sheltered beer garden, while in winter the crackling wood burner offers a cosy retreat — the perfect setting to unwind, chat with friends, or simply savour the island’s charm.
Evening Meals
Priority booking for evening meals is offered to our room guests plus table reservations are offered to non-residents.
In the evening we offer an a la carte menu covering Northumbrian locally sourced fish, crab and meat. We just want you to sit back relax and enjoy the meal & drink of your choice without leaving your seat with our table service to ensure you savour The Ship Inn’s unique charm.

Rooms
Our four comfortable guest rooms are located on the first floor, away from the main bar areas, offering a peaceful and relaxing stay. Each non-smoking room is beautifully decorated and features an en-suite bathroom, TV, and free Wi-Fi access. Guests can come and go at any time using their private entrance, available 24 hours a day. While pets are not permitted in the rooms, visitors return year after year to enjoy the tranquillity of island life and the charm of being surrounded by the tide.
